I have been thinking about what we should do for our preliminary task, we have to include a character opening a door (using a match cut) and walking into a room and sitting down at a table, to exchange dialogue with another character whilst not breaking the 180 degree rule. Which is a rule that ensures that the viewer does not get confused as to what is going on in the video.
A famous example of a match cut is in this video at 2 minutes 54 seconds, where it skips between the plug hole and the character's eye.
I thought about what theme we should have for our preliminary task and thought it should be thriller based, so we should do a police interview scene with a mass murderer as it would be a good thriller- theme.
